Microsoft diving deeper into AI

While Apple lags behind in terms of its AI capabilities, Microsoft is set to stretch its lead in the most rapidly developing segment of the market.

Though this is not strictly a physical gadget like the rest on this list, Microsoft is set to integrate its advancements in AI across the board in all its devices in 2026.

Whether it’s one of the many Windows laptops, or it’s Microsoft 365 services – you will be left behind with AI if you don’t have access to what the tech giant will put out this year.

Huawei Pura X2 foldable smartphone

Huawei has been the pacesetter for foldable smartphones, and that should be the case again in 2026 – even though Apple is rumoured to be entering this segment of the market this year.

Huawei, though, is set to launch its X2 in the first quarter of 2026 with the new 950 AI Chip. The new tech in the phone will transform the multitasking capabilities of the device, and with improved hardware with the folding mechanism, it could prove to be one of the biggest releases on the smartphone market.
